Parker Nolan
Hitting Instructor
Hailing from Wilmington, NC, Parker Nolan was born into an active family of athletes and competitors. By virtue, he soon fell in love with an array of sports and continued probing his interests in any activity available to him. It was not until high school that Parker honed in on just basketball and baseball, and by college his competitive efforts were directed solely toward baseball. Parker attended Davidson College for his undergraduate degree, and played outfield for the institution's baseball program. The small, tight-knit, and academic-centric school would prove to shape Parker in more ways than one, and to this day he remains incredibly thankful for the experiences, memories, and relationships that Davidson afforded to him. After the cancellation of the 2020 season, he was awarded an additional year of athletic eligibility, and thus, his graduation from Davidson in 2022 would not mark the end of his collegiate career. It was in 2023 that Parker joined the Wolfpack of NC State, exhausting his final year of eligibility as well as pursuing a masters degree in sports leadership and coaching. He has since moved to Savannah, looking to join the Bananas newest team - The Firefighters - as they will begin their inaugural season in late May. In the meantime, Parker is eager to immerse himself in the Savannah baseball community, and make an impact in any way he can. Fortunate to have worked with and learned from incredible coaches throughout his life, Parker hopes to have a similarly positive impact on those he is fortunate enough to coach himself.
Career Accomplishments:
Parker’s Davidson career would come to a climax his senior year, in which the club would amass a program record 43-wins en-route to an A10 regular season championship. Parker would contribute 15 homers, 11 doubles, and 5 triples on his own accord, and finish the year with a .310 batting average. He would follow this season with a .288 batting average for the Wolfpack, tacking on 10 additional homers and bringing his career count to 34. During his college career, Parker was never caught stealing in 24 total attempts. While he is incredibly proud of the success he earned on the field, Parker finds greater pride in his off-the-field achievements, highlighted by 3 consecutive Best Teammate Awards, the Thomas D Sparrow Spirit Award, and the Heart of the Pack Award.
